Oregon Empowers is the 501(c)3 charitable organization of the statewide Oregon Rural Electric Cooperative Association (ORECA). In 2023, Oregon Empowers completed an international electrification project through NRECA International that brought power to 35 homes in a remote village in Jalapa, Guatemala.
Since 1962, NRECA International has empowered more than 220 million people worldwide to improve their quality of life by providing them access to safe, reliable and affordable electricity through supporting the development of cooperatives worldwide.
